No matter you want to upgrade your 101hero or not, one thing you must do to improve printing quality is cooling fan. See the following picture for the difference.

Day 2

I had received the 101hero in December 2016. Last Christmas, it is printing ok. But the very next day, it gave it away. I believe most of the owner gone through this. I tried everything to improve the print quality and stability. I disassemble the 101hero into pieces. I break the cable of the thermistor and hotend, and reassemble it with 2/3 of the remaining metal plate....... I realize the only way out is force the 101hero to evolve

My aims is to share my experience in changing the 101hero from a toy to a real 3D printer. All my knowledge on 3D printer is started from Day 1 when I saw a $49 3D printer raising fund in Kickstarter
